here's a little somthin' about us:

hey. i'm austin. i'm a senior at oru and i'm majoring in communications. i play a lot of music and write a lot of music, on the guitar and piano. i lead worship at all nations fellowship here in tulsa, and i live in emr on mog with none other than david palomares (mia's brother). i've been on several mission trips to lots of different countries and continents. i'm really really excited to see what GOD is going to do and how is going to impact the nation of south africa and our lives. i love you guys and i hope you're ready for an incredible year!

what up yo?!?! this is mia....here's a little bit about me.
i'm a senior studio art major with a concentration in water media. i also work for the missions department as an event coordinator. i love music.....a lot. i live off campus with my little sister, so you might not see me around campus a ton. all i can say is i've prayed a ton about this trip and i'm excited, not only about where we're going, but about each of you and what you have to bring to our team......it's going to be a sweet-awesome ride guys, so be expecting some incredible things!

south africa has the sixth highest prevalence of HIV in the world, with 18.8% of the population estimated to be infected. The UNAIDS 2006 Global Report, estimated that 320 000 people died of aids related deaths in south africa during 2005 (that's almost 1,000 people per day). south africa is regarded as having the most severe HIV epidemic in the world.
